How often do you give a snowmobile safety class
The Snowballers offers a snowmobile safety class once a year, on the first Saturday in December. Any groups of 20 or more will be considered on a case by case basis, depending on instructor availability.

How much do snowmobile safety instructors get paid?
Our club snowmobile safety instructors are all volunteers. We provide the class free of charge and do it out of love of the sport.Â

Where are your trails in Greenwood Lake?
Unfortunately, we no longer have any trails left. Over the years, the trails all closed. All membership money that is left after club expenses are donated to other clubs in New York where they ride.Â

Do I need to join a club to register my snowmobile?
No, but it's definitely something to consider. If you join a snowmobile club, you pay significantly less than if you do not. Once you join a club, you will receive a voucher than you will need to turn over to motor vehicles in order to receive a discount.

When and where do you have your meetings?
We meet on the third Tuesday of every month at Murphy's in Greenwood Lake. Invitations are sent out via email to all registered club members. We meet in the months of September to April at 7:30 PM. All members are encouraged to attend,Â

What benefits do I get out of joining the Snowballers?
Our club consists of new and old riders that travel all over from Maine to Montana. At our meetings and on our social media page, we offer assistance, post and discuss trail conditions and areas to ride, discuss snowmobiles on the market, and offer guidance and assistance on repairs, plus much more. It's a community of enthusiasts that exist for the love of the sport!
